Occupational Therapy
Staff Credentials
Our professional occupational therapists are certified by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy and are licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through the Board of Allied Health Professions. Many therapists seek specialty certifications to enhance the expertise available to our patients.
Teaching and Training
The occupational therapy staff is involved in supervising students on clinical rotations from several universities and colleges. Typically, students spend three months being closely supervised as they apply their theoretical knowledge to practical clinical scenarios. The presence of students in the clinic is stimulating to patients and staff. Students bring the most up-to-date treatment information with them and offer lively discussions of current practice. Staff members are sponsored to attend seminars, workshops and conferences which adds to the collective expertise in the department.
