Speech-Language Program

Treatment Team

All Sinai speech-language pathologists are certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and licensed by the state of Massachusetts.

Sinai's speech-language pathologists work in collaboration with the individual, family, referring physician and members of the educational or therapy treatment team to evaluate problems and develop individualized treatment plans. To make certain individual needs are met, the treatment team may be expanded to include other specialty areas such as neurology, neuropsychology, rehabilitation medicine, ENT, audiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and vocational counseling.

In addition to speech-language pathologists, the dysphagia treatment team includes experts in radiology, respiratory therapy, medicine, occupational therapy, nursing and clinical nutrition. This interdisciplinary team approach provides the highest quality of service for the individual with a swallowing problem, and offers vital information to the family.
