SINAI WOMEN'S FORUM PRESENTS
WOMEN HELPING WOMEN PLAN THEIR FINANCIAL FUTURES
STOUGHTON, MA — Most women would agree that whether you are 28 or 68, a working professional or stay at home mom, suburbanite or city dweller, learning to manage your money is an absolute must if you want to make wise financial decisions, plan for a comfortable retirement, save for college tuition and meet other financial goals. With that in mind, the New England Sinai Women’s Forum is extending an invitation to area women to attend a program for women by women on Financial Planning on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 6pm in the Brenner Conference Center at the hospital located at 150 York Street in Stoughton. The cost of the program is $10 and includes a light supper followed by the presentation. To register, or for more information, call 781-297-1333.
The finance professionals presenting the program are Judy Ludwig, CPA/PFS, CFP and Deborah Levenson, CFP, MBA, both of Braver Wealth Management in Canton, MA. Ludwig, founder of Braver Wealth Management, has been president of the Norfolk/Plymouth Estate and Business Planning Council and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Estate Planners. In 1997 she was selected as a Money Makeover Expert by The Boston Globe and has continued in that role. In 1999 she was named as one of the country's top financial advisors in JK Lasser's Estate Planning for Baby Boomers and Retirees and New Rules for Estate and Tax Planning. Ludwig has been quoted in Financial Planning Magazine, Business Week, The Boston Globe, and The Wall Street Journal.
Levenson is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She began her career as a consultant for Bain & Company, an international strategy consulting firm where she spent twelve years in strategic planning and consumer marketing, leading The First Years, an innovative infant products manufacturer, and then ZOOTS, the largest dry-cleaning chain on the East Coast, as Senior Vice President of Marketing. She joined Braver Wealth Management, Inc in 2005. Levenson has been featured as a Money Makeover Expert in the Boston Sunday Globe, written articles published in the AAII Journal (American Association of Individual Investors) and Women’s Business and Financial Planning Magazine. She has been quoted on Morningstar.com, and in Investment News and The Wall Street Journal.
This Women’s Forum event is a wonderful opportunity for like-minded women to socialize, network and hone their financial planning skills.
'Throughout Sinai's 80 year history, women have played a pivotal role. In fact, Bella Doxer, grandmother of Frugal Fannie's co-founder, Orrin Doxer, was one of the hospital's founders," says Sharon resident and Women’s Forum member Rhonda Hoffman. The Women's Forum provides opportunities for the next generation of women to learn more about Sinai and the ways they can help advance the hospital’s growth and development.
