JANET M. MADIGAN, MS, RN, CNAA-BC APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF NURSING AT NEW ENGLAND SINAI HOSPITAL

STOUGHTON, MA  New England Sinai President and CEO Lester P. Schindel has announced the appointment of Janet M. Madigan, MS, RN, CNAA-BC as Director of Nursing at New England Sinai Hospital. “Janet has more than 25 years of experience in nursing management and brings a wealth of expertise to Sinai,” he said. Prior to joining Sinai she was Project Manager of Patient Care Services at Massachusetts General Hospital.  She is a resident of Abington, MA.

Madigan began her nursing career at Brockton Hospital, quickly advanced to a Nurse Manager position and then to Director of Nursing. In 1996 she was appointed Associate Vice President of Patient Services at Quincy Hospital and promoted to Vice President of Patient Services shortly thereafter.

Madigan has a BS degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State College, a BSN from Stonehill College and a MS in Nursing from Northeastern University. She has published and presented extensively on a variety of contemporary issues impacting the nursing profession. Actively involved in many professional and community organizations, she recently completed her term as President of the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE) where she was instrumental in creating and implementing the groundbreaking Patient’s First Initiative.

According to Karen Hughes, Vice President for Nursing at Sinai, “Janet is passionate about quality patient care and is excited to be coming back to her roots in the local community. She looks forward to collaborating with all levels of staff and disciplines in shared problem solving and decision-making.”
