PHILIP ABRAMS ELECTED TO NEW ENGLAND SINAI HOSPITAL BOARD

 

STOUGHTON, MA —Lester P. Schindel, President and CEO of New England Sinai Hospital, has announced that Philip Abrams of Brookline, MA has been elected to the Sinai Board of Directors. “We are pleased to have someone as seasoned and astute as Philip Abrams join our board. As a legal counsel with specialized knowledge in commercial construction and development, he brings a wealth of experience and will be invaluable in helping to advance the mission of Sinai,” said Schindel.

Abrams currently serves as Counsel for Hinckley, Allen and Snyder LLP in Boston and was General Counsel and President of his own firm, Philip Abrams Ventures, Inc. for two decades. As co-owner of Abreen Corporation, a Brookline-based general contractor for projects throughout the northeast (1966-1981), Abrams oversaw the construction of Sinai’s main campus in Stoughton, which opened in 1976. He has consulted on construction and development projects in Massachusetts, Denver, Colorado and Deerfield Beach, Florida, and was Undersecretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Abrams served as a Naval Officer in the U.S. Navy on board the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. He has a B.A. degree from Williams College and a J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law. In addition to serving on the Sinai board, Abrams serves on the Board of B’nai B’rith and the Landmark Legal Foundation and is a member of the Federalist Society.
