ROGER A. KAHAN, CPA APPOINTED MEMBER OF NEW ENGLAND SINAI FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

 

STOUGHTON, MA  New England Sinai President and CEO Lester P. Schindel has announced the appointment of Roger A. Kahan, to the Sinai Foundation Board of Trustees. Kahan is a Certified Public Accountant, tax and business advisor and wealth care professional. “With more than 35 years of experience in business, I am certain that Roger’s expertise and seasoned perspective will play a key role in helping to advance the mission of the Sinai Foundation,” said Schindel. 

Bettyann McKenzie, Executive Director of the Sinai Foundation, noted that, “Roger possesses a level of knowledge and experience that we greatly value and I am delighted that in addition to serving as a member of the Board, he has also agreed to serve on our Finance Committee.”

At his office in Randolph, MA, Kahan provides full-time accounting, tax, financial and business consulting services to meet the needs of high net worth individuals, multi-state, multi-million dollar corporate groups, small to medium sized businesses and individuals. His consulting and advisory services help clients minimize tax liability and achieve financial security. He is the author of an award-winning, newsletter entitled “Tax Tips and Facts,” which is published in several media and is distributed to individuals, professionals, and businesses throughout the country. 

Kahan is a founder and past president of the Randolph Chamber of Commerce, an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Order of Knights of Pythias International, the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce, and currently Chairman of the Randolph Business and Industrial Commission. He is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Public Accountants, Computer Organizations of New England, Inc., National Society of Tax Professionals, Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce, National Notary Association and acts as a special advisor to several non-profit local community groups. Kahan is a Registered Representative with LINSCO/Private Ledger, and an Investment Advisor Representative with Bay Financial Advisors, Inc. Kahan also serves as an insurance consultant. New England Sinai Foundation is a separate, non-profit foundation whose mission is to inspire philanthropy to advance exceptional healthcare for patients at New England Sinai Hospital. Our objective is to utilize philanthropy to meet the health-care needs of New England Sinai's communities and preserve and expand the Hospital's programs and services in patient care and health education.

Bettyann McKenzie serves as Executive Director of the Foundation, which is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. The Sinai Foundation Board sets policy and directs the activities of the organization. The Sinai Foundation and Board are charged with maintaining an ongoing fundraising program to benefit New England Sinai Hospital.
