SINAI PRESIDENT AND CEO PRESENTS TALK ON LONG-TEM ACUTE CARE HOSPITALS
AT AMERICAN COLLEGE OF HEALTHCARE EXECUTIVES CONFERENCE

 

STOUGHTON, MA Lester P. Schindel, of Framingham, MA and President and CEO of New England Sinai Hospital, was recently selected to speak on “Long-Term Acute Care Partnerships: Creative Ways to Strengthen Clinical Management and Boost Hospital Revenue” at the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) 2008 Congress on Healthcare Leadership on March 10-13, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. The annual event draws than 4,000 participants each year, including senior executives, middle managers, new managers and students from across the U.S. and around the world, representing a range of organizations from hospitals, healthcare systems, other healthcare organizations and the profit and nonprofit sectors.

Prior to joining New England Sinai Hospital, he was CEO and President at Merrimack Valley Hospital (formerly Hale Hospital) in Haverhill and is credited with its successful turn-around. Schindel is a member of the Massachusetts Hospital Association Board of Directors and serves on the Boards of the Metro South Chamber of Commerce, the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Temple Am in Framingham. Schindel has a master’s degree in healthcare administration from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.

ACHE is an international professional society of more than 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. ACHE is also known for its journals, the Journal of Healthcare Management and Frontiers of Health Services Management and its magazine, Healthcare Executive, as well as ground-breaking research and career development and public policy programs.
